The Clevite CB-1990P P‑Series Rod Bearing is an ideal replacement when rebuilding a stock 2001–2016 GM 6.6L Duramax engine. As Clevite’s original and most proven performance bearing line, the P‑Series is engineered for durability under demanding conditions.
These rod bearings feature increased crush for superior retention and a reduced overlay thickness to minimize fatigue—often referred to as “hen tracking.” Built with a hardened steel backing, they offer enhanced strength and resistance to fretting, making them well‑suited for applications where high RPM operation can lead to rod bore distortion. This condition is typically indicated by near full parting‑line contact on bearings with less uniformity.
